The question, “how to download music to psp?” is very simple to answer. Before that you have to note that you have to firstly convert all your music file formats to MP3. To do this you can simply use Sony’s Image Converter or a software called Aimersoft to do the converting and transferring. And also you need to have a USB cable to connect your Portable Play-station to your computer.
To manually transfer your Music, follow these steps:
1. As mentioned before, firstly you have to connect your Portable Play-station to your computer.
2. Use the Graphical User Interface (GUI) to select “USB CONNECTION” on your game portable play-station.
3. Press the round button.
4. Your computer are now showing/detecting the generic drive.
5. Click on the new drive that appears just now (it correspondents to your PSP).
6. If you have not had one folder called “PSP”, create one.
7. Again create a new folder under the folder you have just created and name it “music”.
8. Copy your mp3’s and paste them into the “music” folder.
9. After copying process is done, press the cross button on your Portable Play-station to get out of USB transfer mode.
Now you should be able to listen to all your favorite music from your Portable Play-station. Use the GUI (graphical user interface) of your PSP to navigate to the music icon.
If you want to download video to Portable Play-station, you can just follow the steps stated above. The only thing you have to note is that you should make a “video” folder under “MP_ROOT” folder that is already in your PSP. Do not forget that you have to convert all the video format to MP4 (use the above mentioned software).
