You should also typically have to pay for your music. There are sites that offer free music, but you want to find a mp3 download site that you can trust and rely on. Downloading illegal music is a crime, and if traced could get users in trouble.

Some music web sites have no membership requirements, and allow you to listen to as many songs as you want for free, and then pay for each song that you download. It is fast and easy to find all of your favorite songs and artists online. You can download music to your computer and then transfer those songs to your portable music player. You can also burn CD’s from the songs that you have downloaded. If you prefer to listen to the music before you buy it, most web sites offer you samples so that you can make sure that is the song that you want. Prices vary on downloaded music, and sites that do charge you a fee per song are usually around one dollar.

When you download music, you can enjoy all of your favorite music wherever you go. If you have a player that allows you to set up play lists, you can download music to suit any mood that you are in. You can create play lists based on a number of ways that you want to listen to your music. In addition to being able to download music online, you can also read reviews, listen to samples and browse through new music that you may have not heard before. Downloading music is a fun and easy way to get the songs that you want, and not have to buy the entire album with the songs that you do not want to listen to.

The first thing you need to do is perform a search on either Google or Yahoo to look for free legal music download sites. A list of music downloading sites should appear, each of them offering directions in regards to how to download music on their web sites. But this is where it gets a little tricky.

As of 6/28/2008, the day I wrote this article, the Google search engine does not warn people about music web sites that contain dangerous downloads. The Yahoo search engine on the other hand, does. This is very important if you want to know how to download music without viruses because the last thing you want to do is click on one of the sites that will hurt your computer. Thats why I personally like using Yahoo when searching for music sites. I find their search engine to be much safer in this regard.
